Acting Inspector General of Police Deshbandu Tennakoon has decided to resume the Police Public Relief Day which was temporarily suspended due to the Covid epidemic. Sri Lanka Latest News
The Police Media Spokesperson’s Office said that accordingly, Public Relief Day will be held from 9:00 am on every Friday except public holidays from the 15th.
Police Stations and Investigation Divisions can submit complaints to the Inspector General of Police regarding justified and reasonable matters regarding non-relief or unnecessary delays in complaints submitted regarding personal matters.
The Police Media Spokesman’s Office also stated that through this public relief day, which is held with the involvement of senior officials, the public will be provided with the services that should be provided by the Sri Lanka Police without delay.
The Acting Inspector General of Police is also expected to attend the public relief day every Friday and directly answer the complaints of the public.
