The newly appointed Acting Inspector General of Police, Mr. Priyantha Weerasuriya, has directed all police officers to initiate investigations immediately upon receiving a complaint.
He has further instructed that these investigations should be completed within two days. Should this timeframe not be met, a system has been established for the public to directly report the delay to him.
