According to audit report, State Pharmaceutical Corporation employees received unapproved allowances, bonuses, and incentives in 2021.

According to a latest report released by the National Audit Office, it is reported that the Lanka State Pharmaceutical  Corporation has paid various allowances including bonuses and performance incentives to its employees outside the law in the year 2021.

According to the report, in the year 2021, bonuses of Rs.13, 500 each to one employee of the corporation were paid illegally in the year 2021.

The National Audit Office says that a corporation with a collective agreement cannot apply State Business Circulars (PED/3/2018) and (PED/03/2021) but the bonuses have been paid according to the circular provisions.

In the meantime, the audit report which says that more than one crore rupees was paid as performance incentives to all employees in the year 2021 without the approval of the treasury.

This information is mentioned in the 2021 performance report of the Sri Lanka State Pharmaceuticals Corporation which was recently submitted to the Parliament.
