A well-known millionaire businessman in Kandy area today (16) has shot himself with his personal firearm inside his workplace.
Digana Mangala alias Don Rajiva Mangala Gunawardena has died.
He resided at No. 7/02, Temple Road, Kengalla, Pallekele.
He killed himself by shooting himself with his revolver at around 12 noon in his office on the top floor of the three-story building called Highland Agency in Digana.
Digana Mangala, a powerful businessman with a number of business locations in Theldeniya area, is the owner of many vehicle sales centers, mortgage centers and money lending businesses.
Digana Mangala, who was seriously injured after shooting himself, died after being admitted to the Kandy National Hospital, and further investigations are being conducted by the Pallekele Police.
