Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said that the Rajapaksa shadow government brutally attacked the unarmed people of this country and that attack is seriously condemned.
The leader of the opposition said that this attack, which was carried out immediately after the new president was appointed, implied what direction that the government’s direction.
This was stated by the opposition leader during a press conference titled “All-Party Unity” held today at the opposition leader’s office in Colombo (22). The opposition leader stated that the President cannot escape responsibility for the attack and that a formal investigation into who ordered, planned, and carried out the attack should be conducted.
