Complainants alleged by the statement made by Mr Lalkantha that an attempt was made to direct the Galle Face ‘aragalaya’ crowd to the parliament which constituted the attempt of a coup to overthrow a legal government of the county at the time.
Samagi Jana Balawegaya Lawyers Collective Deputy Law secretary attorney at law Rajitha Lakmal alleged this comes under the sixth section of the Penal Code which warrants a death penalty.
