Recently, a video about a certain Budhist monk who danced during a music show was circulated on social media.
Many people who watched the video could also see how they slandered the whole community of monks in general.
However, after this incident, relevant Bhikku, who danced, admitted the mistake and apologized for it, a video has now been sent to social media networks.
In this regard, the note kept by Ratana Thero of Tapovana is as follows.
The thero, who performed a dance the other day by scolding all the Maha Sangha, apologized to the Maha Sangha.
From time to time different people join the Sasana. They do different things. A handful of virtuous and innocent true monks have been criticized by stupid people for everything they do.
But the true worshipers who know the Dharma discipline do not scold the Mahasagharu. They know the true virtues of Sangharatna. They know individual diversity. In the past as well as in the present, they have the intelligence to recognize what dirty people are doing. They don’t take refuge in individuals, they take refuge in the Sangha.
People who do not take refuge in the Sangha, but those who take refuge in the Sangha, blame the entire Sangha for the fault of the person who came from laymen to the Sangha. These reprimanding fools do more damage to the order than to the reputation of the disobedient. By dragging that truly noble and virtuous Sangharatna into embarrassment and vain insults.
Fools work to harass real monks because of the stupid work done by a stupid layman. It does not ask for reasons.
May the culprits be corrected without revenge! This Sasana is a place for those who have gone astray, not for revenge.
The need for a federal court arises in such cases. Let the federal court be given legal authority! Then such people can be expelled from the Sasana. Where there is no power, the only thing that can be done is to make a request to the offender. It hastens the religious end. Let the authorities give legal power to a confederation!
Glory to the Maha Sanga that intervened in this issue!
