Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said that the current president should cross a vine bridge after coming to power, but the Rajapaksas and their cronies have crossed the vine bridge and 220 lakh people have been pushed from the vine bridge. The opposition leader said that the current president is a comedy and the current government is a fraud and said that since history those who oppose the people have had to face bad consequences.
Mr. Sajith Premadasa, the opposition leader, said this while addressing the Constituency Committee meeting of Samagi Jana Balavega held in Buttala yesterday (28). It was organized by Mr. W. H. M. Dharmasena, Monaragala District Member of Parliament of Samagi Jana Balawegaye.
The opposition leader said that a new mandate is needed to build this country, and said that if possible, there should be an early election and even if the elephants come in the guise of crows, the people will teach them the proper lesson this time.
The opposition leader said that the Samagi Jana Balawegay will get the state power to make the country work for the village and the city and will initiate programs that can get more income at a low cost through new technology. He said that what was done was bankrupt the country by making false pretenses.
