The person who was shot is a resident of Korambe area and he is currently receiving treatment at the Colombo National Hospital.
The police said that the related shooting took place this morning in the Korambe area of Robert Gunawardena Mawatha, Thalangama.
The man was shot by two unknown persons on a motorcycle and fled.
However, the committee appointed to suppress the underworld has stated that it will end the underworld activities within 6 months.
