According to authorities, the shooting occurred last night (23).
Two persons were shot in a three-wheeler on the Bogahapitiya-Uragaha road.
The two injured people were sent to Balapitiya Hospital, where one of them died.
A 29-year-old man from the Ahungalla area has died.
According to the police, no information on the suspect who carried out the shooting has been released thus far.
