The Police Media Unit has reported that 60 murders occurred across the island between January 1 and February 6. Among these, 11 shooting incidents resulted in the deaths of nine individuals, while six others sustained injuries.

Investigations have revealed that five of these shootings were linked to organized criminals involved in illicit liquor smuggling and disputes over money obtained for foreign employment. The remaining murders were attributed to family conflicts and land disputes.

Meanwhile, between January 1 and 31, a total of 159 fatal road accidents were recorded, resulting in the deaths of 166 people. Additionally, police data indicates that there were 420 serious accidents, 673 minor accidents, and numerous other incidents that caused property damage.
