The Colombo Municipal Council, the Ministry of Buddha Sasana, the Prime Minister’s Office, the President’s Office and all the ministries and institutions are currently planning to implement a special Vesak Pujotsava program throughout the city of Colombo and Buddhi Rashmi Vesak Zone, Valukaramaya Vesak Zone, Bauddaloka Mawatha Vesak Zone. , 6 Vesak zones are scheduled to be held around the city of Colombo, such as the Vesak zone around Purahala, the Vesak zone around the Port Authority and the Vesak zone around the Freedom Square.
Also, the doctor said in the press conference today that there is a plan to operate a big dansal in the Galle face area and as of yesterday (03) 125 dansals have been registered, out of which 49 dansals of rice, dunsal rice, fried rice and yellow rice have been registered.
He added that steps have been taken to provide water tanks in collaboration with the National Water Supply Board to provide drinking water to the visitors in all Vesak zones.
