31 people, including Johnston and Sanath Nishantha, named  for attacking Gotago gama. Mahinda, Namal, Rohitha, and Pavithra not been charged.

Attorney General Sanjay Rajaratnam has informed the Criminal Investigation Department to name 31 people, including Johnston Fernando, as suspects in connection with the attack on the Galle Face struggle on May 9.

The Attorney General has also informed to file a case against the Senior DIG Deshbandu Tennakon for allowing the violence that spread to other parts of the country.

However, charges were not filed against former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, Pavitra Vanniarachchi, Namal Rajapaksa and Rohitha Abeygunawardena.

The 31 people who have been charged are;
