The cabinet meeting held today approved the promotion of nearly ten thousand police officers from constables to police inspectors to the next post.
Accordingly, 8312 male police officers and 1005 female police officers are to be promoted.
The minister of public security, Tiran Alas, had presented the cabinet document for the promotion of these officers, who had been deprived of promotion for many years.
