Ten members of Sri Lanka’s Commonwealth Games contingent in Birmingham have gone missing in an apparent attempt to remain in the country, a top sports official from the island nation told AFP on Sunday.
The nine athletes and a manager vanished after finishing their events, according to the official, who requested anonymity.
Three of them had vanished last week: judoka Chamila Dilani, her manager Asela de Silva, and wrestler Shanith Chathuranga.
