Mani Ratnam tests negative for Covid days after hospitalisation

Director Mani Ratnam has tested negative for Covid-19, days after hospitalisation. The news about his Covid infection surfaced today, July 19, morning.

Maverick director Mani Ratnam tested negative for Covid-19, according to his publicist. A few days ago, the filmmaker contracted the infection and was admitted to a private hospital in Chennai. After being under observation for a few days, the director is said to have tested negative for the novel coronavirus. Soon, he will resume work on his upcoming film, Ponniyin Selvan.

MANI RATNAM TESTS NEGATIVE FOR COVID-19

This morning, July 19, information regarding Mani Ratnam’s COVID diagnosis and subsequent hospitalization broke. But it appears that the director recently underwent a virus test and was found to be positive.

According to the director’s publicist, a test for the new coronavirus came back negative. He was treated by doctors who urged him to take a short rest before starting work again. We’re currently waiting on more information about Mani Ratnam’s health.

ON THE WORK FRONT

The post-production work for Mani Ratnam’s upcoming movie, Ponniyin Selvan, has kept him busy. On September 30, the first chapter will be available in theaters. The historical dramatization of the rise of the Chola kingdom is based on the well-known Kalki Krishnamoorthy novel in Tamil of the same name.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Chiyaan Vikram, Trisha, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Prakash Raj, Sarathkumar, Parthiban, Sobhita Dhulipala, and Aishwarya Lekshmi all play significant roles in the star-studded cast.
