YKK Lanka partners with Regen Renewables for a 1.8 MW Solar Initiative to Drive Sustainable Manufacturing

YKK Lanka Pvt Ltd, a global leader in the manufacturing of metal, coil, and Vislon zippers, has partnered with Regen Renewables, one of Sri Lanka’s largest renewable energy companies, to deploy a 1,792 kW solar PV system at its manufacturing facility. This strategic collaboration marks a significant step forward in YKK Lanka’s commitment to sustainable manufacturing and reducing its carbon footprint.

The solar project, featuring DAS Solar panels and Huawei inverters, leverages world-class technology to deliver reliable, high-efficiency energy generation. By integrating this advanced solar solution, YKK Lanka aims to reduce operational energy costs, lower emissions, and support Sri Lanka’s broader transition toward a low-carbon, sustainable industrial economy.

Reflecting on the initiative, Mr. Shyamal Senavirathne, Factory Manager of at YKK Lanka, commented: “We have a global commitment to reducing the carbon footprint across our manufacturing facilities.
