Serendib Flour Mills (Pvt) Ltd has been recognized with a Merit Award under the Medium-Scale Manufacturing Organisations category at the Sri Lanka National Quality Awards (SLNQA) 2023, presented by the Sri Lanka Standards Institution (SLSI), held in November.
Serendib Flour Mills’ achievement at SLNQA 2023 reinforces the position of a trusted and progressive player in Sri Lanka’s food manufacturing industry, highlighting the dedication to aligning with international best practices.

The SLNQA is Sri Lanka’s premier national award that celebrates organisations excelling in quality management and performance excellence. They are based on the globally renowned criteria of the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards (MBNQA) in the USA.
Applicant organisations are rigorously evaluated via seven key criteria such as leadership, strategic planning, customer focus, measurement and knowledge management, workforce focus, operations focus, and results.
The National Quality Awards are also a pathway to global recognition, with winners often becoming eligible for international accolades such as the Global Performance Excellence Award (GPEA).
