People’s Bank Holds ‘People’s Remittance Sanwathsara Pranama Draw 2026’

In celebration of its 65th Anniversary, People’s Bank held the ‘People’s Remittance Sanwathsara Pranama Draw 2026’ on 1st July 2026 at People’s Tower, Colombo 02. The draw was conducted as part of the Bank’s ‘Dolosmahe Vaasi Chakraya‘ programme.

Accordingly, 65 lucky winners were selected to receive 65 hampers of essential goods, each valued at Rs. 15,000.

Customers who remitted worker remittances directly to People’s Bank accounts between 1st January and 30th June 2026 were eligible to enter the draw.

The event was attended by People’s Bank Chairman, Prof. Narada Fernando; Chief Executive Officer/General Manager, Clive Fonseka; Head of Marketing, Nalaka Wijayawardana; Deputy General Manager (Recoveries), Naleen Pathiranage; Deputy General Manager (Channel Management), Aruni Liyanagunawardana; Deputy General Manager (Banking Support Services), Indumini Rathnayake; Assistant General Manager – Overseas Customer Services, Buddhika Ranatunga; Chief Manager (Audit), Kapila Vithana; Senior Tax Officer of the Western Province Revenue Department, W.C. Asanga; and several other senior officials of the Bank.

The ‘People’s Remittance Sanwathsara Pranama Draw – 2026′ programme was launched to encourage and recognise Sri Lankan migrant workers who work tirelessly overseas to strengthen the country’s economy while improving the living standards of their families.
