Round Table Sri Lanka Launches National Magazine and Official Website

Strengthening its voice in service and fellowship, Round Table Sri Lanka officially launched its national magazine – Table Talk and new official website (www.rtsrilanka.com), marking a significant milestone in its continuing journey. The dual launch reflects a deliberate and strategic effort to strengthen communication, preserve institutional memory, and enhance visibility both nationally and internationally.

Founded in 1993, Round Table Sri Lanka (RTSL) is part of the global Round Table movement, an international network of young professionals committed to community service, leadership development, and fellowship across borders. Over more than three decades, RTSL has grown into a dynamic and respected national body, comprising multiple Tables across the island and contributing actively to the regional and global Tabling community.

“The publication is more than a collection of articles. It is presented as a living archive of the RTSL’s journey, capturing stories of service, camaraderie, and growth,” said Dilanka Mannakkara, President – Round Table Sri Lanka.

The National Editor – Pasan Weerasinghe similarly reflects on the importance of documenting not just formal achievements, but also the human stories, humour, and shared experiences that define the tabling spirit.

The 2024/25 period represented a landmark chapter in the RTSL’s history. Sri Lanka hosted the Asia South Pacific Region Annual General Meeting, welcoming approximately 120 Tablers from across the region, highlighting the country’s organisational strength, hospitality, and administrative capability. From fellowship events to formal governance sessions, the AGM demonstrated unity, professionalism, and a clear sense of purpose.

In late November 2025, when severe floods affected communities across Sri Lanka, RTSL responded with urgency and structure, delivering and distributing more than 5,000 meals and 17,000 ration packs, and raising more than LKR 20 million in funds in addition to substantial in-kind contributions. The relief effort involved early monitoring, coordinated fundraising, on-the-ground logistics, and sustained distribution across affected districts, demonstrating RTSL’s commitment to service, which extends beyond fellowship into tangible national impact.

Against this backdrop of growth and service, the relaunch of the official Table Talk magazine marks the return of a structured national publication platform. The February 2026 issue brings together leadership messages, reflections on major milestones, coverage of community initiatives, and features that capture the spirit of Tabling in Sri Lanka. The publication serves not merely as a newsletter, but as a living archive of the organisation’s journey, documenting both achievements and shared experiences.

Complementing the magazine is the launch of the official website, designed as a centralised digital gateway for members, partners, and the wider public, showcasing ongoing projects and highlighting national and international achievements, while providing accessible information about the organisation’s mission and activities. In an increasingly digital environment, the website enhances transparency and ensures that the work of RTSL is visible beyond its immediate membership.

Together, the dual launch signals a new phase of structured communication and forward-looking leadership, reflecting an organisation that is confident in its achievements and commitment to broadening its horizons while ensuring that its story of fellowship and service will be carefully recorded, widely shared, and sustained for generations to come.
