The final draw of People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2024 was recently held at the People’s Bank Overseas Customer Services premises in Colombo 10, selecting the Grand Winner of the Rs. 2,000,000 prize.
During the event, the weekly winners from November 18 to December 31, 2024, along with the monthly winners for November and December, were also selected.
Clive Fonseka, Chief Executive Officer/General Manager of People’s Bank; Azzam A. Ahamat, Head of Finance; E.A.M. Dissanayake, Chief Internal Auditor; Wickrama Narayana, Deputy General Manager—Enterprise Banking; Nalaka Wijayawardana, Head of Marketing; Aruni Liyanagunawardana, Deputy General Manager—(OCS); Buddika Ranathungage, Assistant General Manager (OCS); Thilini Perera, Senior Manager (OCS); Vipula Warnakula, Senior Manager – IT; and Sriyani Napagoda, Senior Tax Officer, Department of Revenue (Western Province), participated in the event.
People’s Bank launched the Vaasi Kotiyai 2024 draw to recognize and appreciate Sri Lankan migrant workers who contribute tirelessly to strengthening the country’s economy while building a better future for themselves and their families.
People’s Bank awards Rs. 2,000,000 to the year’s Grand Prize Winner of People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2024, while the Monthly Winners will get Rs. 250,000 and the Weekly Winners take home Rs. 100,000. Workers’ remittances received to People’s Bank through People’s Web Remit, People’s Instant Remit, Telexes, Swift, Western Union, Ria or similar anywhere payout products from 2024.01.01 to 2024.12.31 are eligible for the draw.
People’s Bank has also launched the People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 Draw, where over Rs.10 million prizes will be offered to recognize and reward Sri Lankan migrant workers.
