People’s Bank has once again stepped forward to sponsor the historic Kandy Esala Perahera, reinforcing its commitment to preserving Sri Lanka’s rich cultural heritage.
The Bank’s sponsorship cheque was ceremonially handed over to Mr. Pradeep Nilanga Dela, Diyawadana Nilame of the Sri Dalada Maligawa, by Mr. Nalin Potthewela, Kandy Regional Manager of People’s Bank. Also present at the occasion were Mr. S.B. Bambaradeniya, Acting Assistant Regional Manager, and Mr. Prasanna Karunarathne, Senior Manager of the Kandy Super Grade Branch.
Expressing his appreciation, Mr. Pradeep Nilanga Dela extended his heartfelt gratitude to People’s Bank for its continued support of this iconic cultural pageant, which plays a vital role in showcasing and safeguarding Sri Lanka’s time-honoured customs and traditions.
