People’s Bank’s recently conducted the very first ‘People’s Remittance Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 – Send and Win Bangkok Tours’ draw to select the weekly winners at the Overseas Customer Services premises in Colombo 10.
Accordingly, nine weekly winners for the period from 1st January to 4th March 2025 were selected for Bangkok tours at the event.
People’s Bank Deputy General Manager – Retail Banking T.M.W. Chandrakumara, Deputy General Manager – Overseas Customer Services Aruni Liyanagunawardena, Assistant General Manager – Internal Audit Shantha Gangabadage, Assistant General Manager – Channel Management I.K. Indika, Assistant General Manager (OCS) Buddhika Ranatungage, Chief Manager (IT) Vipula Warnakula, Senior Manager (OCS) Thilini Perera, and Senior Tax Officer of the Department of Revenue (Western Province) Sriyani Napagoda participated in the event.
People’s Bank launched the People’s Remittance ‘Vaasi Kotiyai 2025 – Send and Win Bangkok Tours’ draw to honour and appreciate Sri Lankan workers who tirelessly contribute to strengthening the country’s economy while improving their own living standards and those of their families.
This unique programme runs from 1st January 2025 to 31st December 2025, offering 52 Bangkok tours over 52 weeks. Customers who send foreign Workers’ Remittances to People’s Bank through People’s Web Remit, People’s Instant Remit, Telexes, Swift, Western Union, Ria and similar anywhere payout/ cash pickup products are eligible to enter the draw. The more remittances a customer sends, the higher their chances of winning.
Additionally, customers who send foreign remittances to People’s Bank via People’s Remittance also have the opportunity to win exciting prizes through the ‘Dolos Mahe Vaasi Chakraya’ promotion.
