Nestlé Nestomalt’s ‘Aramunata Shakthiyak’ set out to recognize the perseverance and commitment of extraordinary mothers across the island, who are going above and beyond to ensure the progress of their families despite current socio-economic volatilities. Accordingly, Nestlé Lanka’s flagship brand took steps to distribute 3 months’ worth of Nestlé Nestomalt to 1,000 such mothers in its endeavour of powering the ambitions of Sri Lankan families.

Launched in September 2022, the brand requested consumers to nominate extraordinary mothers in their lives and share their inspiring stories via its social media platforms. Having received an overwhelming response from consumers from all corners of the island, the brand selected and rewarded 1,000 of the worthiest nominees.

“Being a brand that is loved by generations of Sri Lankan families, we are delighted to extend our support towards extraordinary mothers who are a pillar of strength to their families. It is indeed a difficult time for people from all walks of life, and unwavering determination is of utmost importance. As such, we hope that this campaign helped spread positivity through the inspiring stories shared, whilst encouraging extraordinary mothers to continue their efforts of powering their families’ ambitions amidst challenges” said Mr. Ruwan Welikala, Vice President – Dairy of Nestlé Lanka.

Nestlé has been enriching Sri Lankan lives for over 115 years, with over 90% of its products sold in Sri Lankan being manufactured at its state-of-the-art factory in Kurunegala. As the company’s flagship brand, Nestomalt has been trusted and enjoyed by Sri Lankan families for over 60 years. Exclusively manufactured in Sri Lanka, it is the country’s most loved iconic malted beverage, offering the goodness of malted barley and milk and enriched with essential nutrients.
