National Chamber – HKTDC Business Seminar concludes at Taj Samudra I Sri Lanka Latest Business News

Business Networking Seminar ‘Explore and Expand Global Business Opportunities via Hong Kong”organized by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC) and the National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) was held held on 24 May 2023 at Taj Samudra Colombo. The purpose of the seminar was to discuss the role of Hong Kong as an international business centre and support provided for Sri Lankan companies (small and medium enterprises), project owners and start-ups to reach out to international markets via Hong Kong.

National Chamber President Mr. Deepal Nelson with opening remarks stated that it is extremely important to increase the exports of the Country with the intention of addressing the current economic situation of the Country.

The Keynote speaker of the event was Mr. I Chaminda Pathiraja, Additional Secretary of Ministry of Industries who graced the occasion as the Guest of Honour. Mr. Rajesh Bhagat – HKTDC Consultant – South Asia made a special presentation on facilities offered by the HKTDC when reaching the global market opportunities via Hong Kong.

Mr. Anura Warnakulasooriya giving closing remarks stated that if we cater to a niche market, we should be able to secure market opportunity & continue with less competition.

There was a large gathering of business people for the session and the participants were representing Colombo & various districts of the Country.
