The Commercial Bank of Ceylon, in partnership with Visa, has announced the launch of its Visa International Usage Campaign, a rewarding new promotion that offers cardholders the chance to win unforgettable luxury travel experiences.

Open to all Commercial Bank personal Visa debit and credit cardholders, the campaign runs until 15th November 2025, and is designed to encourage the use of Visa cards for international transactions, both online and at physical points-of-sale.

To qualify, customers must spend a minimum of Rs. 200,000 on eligible international payments during the campaign period. Every Rs. 200,000 spent earns an entry into a raffle draw that will select six lucky winners. In addition, those who exceed Rs.1 million in eligible spending in the campaign period will receive five bonus entries, significantly increasing their chances of winning.

The grand prize winner will be treated to a luxury trip for two to Singapore, complete with Business Class return air tickets and a two-night stay at one of Singapore’s most iconic ultra luxury hotels. Other winners will receive two holiday packages to Singapore and three packages to the Maldives, making this one of the most enticing promotions for cardholders this year.

“We are thrilled to launch this campaign with our long-standing partner, Visa, to provide our cardholders with exceptional rewards,” said Commercial Bank Assistant General Manager Personal & Retail Banking Mr. Kapila Liyanage. “This initiative is not just about offering incredible prizes; it’s about enhancing the payment experience for our customers when they travel or shop online. We see the need to encourage the use of cards for cross-border transactions, and we are confident this promotion will drive engagement and provide real value to our loyal customers.”

This latest promotion is part of Commercial Bank’s broader strategy to expand the adoption of digital payments and encourage secure, convenient international card usage.

Commercial Bank has the highest market capitalisation in the Banking Sector in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). The Bank is the largest lender to the SME sector. Commercial Bank is also a leader in digital innovation and is Sri Lanka’s first 100% carbon-neutral bank.

Commercial Bank operates a strategically located network of branches and automated machines island-wide, and has the widest international footprint among Sri Lankan banks, with 20 outlets in Bangladesh, a fully-fledged Tier I Bank with a majority stake in the Maldives, and a Microfinance company in Myanmar. The Bank recently opened a representative office within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), taking a significant step towards broadening its global footprint. The Bank’s fully-owned subsidiary CBC Finance Ltd., also delivers a range of financial services via its own branch network.
