The National Chamber of Commerce of Sri Lanka (NCCSL) hosted a high-level business delegation from the Malaysia–Sri Lanka Business Chamber (MSLBC) in Colombo. The event brought together leading Malaysian and Sri Lankan companies to engage in knowledge sharing, networking, and fostering future business collaborations.
The delegation was led by Mr Magandran Muthiah, Deputy President of MSLBC along with representatives from prominent Malaysian enterprises, First Secretary, High Commission of Malaysia in Colombo. The program commenced with a welcome address by Ms. Nilupul Chandrasena, Secretary General/CEO of NCCSL, followed by opening remarks from Mr. Anura Warnakulasooriya, President of NCCSL. Mr. Tham Whye Long, First Secretary and Head of Chancery at the Malaysian High Commission, and Mr. Magandran Muthiah, Deputy President of MSLBC, also addressed the gathering, underscoring the importance of strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties.
A key highlight of the event was the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between NCCSL and MSLBC, further consolidating partnerships between the Sri Lankan and Malaysian business communities.
The program also featured B2B matchmaking sessions, enabling companies from both countries to explore strategic partnerships, exchange expertise, and identify new trade and investment opportunities. The participants appreciated the Chamber’s role in facilitating meaningful international business engagements, while the Malaysian delegates commended NCCSL for efforts made in creating a platform to build valuable partnerships in Sri Lanka.
