Reuters reports ongoing talks between Iran and the United States on a ceasefire proposal to end the current conflict, according to reliable sources.
The report states that the ceasefire could take effect as early as today (06).
The proposal, named the Islamabad Accord, was prepared with Pakistan’s mediation and presented to both countries.
According to Reuters, the two sides plan to implement an immediate ceasefire, halt hostilities, and reopen the Strait of Hormuz.
Earlier, the US-based Axios news site reported that Iran and the United States are prepared to enter a 45-day ceasefire.
