In the election held today to appoint members to the Finance Committee of the Colombo Municipal Council, all five candidates nominated by the Samagi Jana Balawegaya-led opposition emerged victorious.
The election also marked a notable outcome, as all candidates nominated by the ruling party, Compass, were defeated.
