After the government initiated steps to reclaim all official residences previously occupied by former presidents, former President Mahinda Rajapaksa, who had been residing at the Carlton Mansion in Tangalle, has decided to return to Colombo, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
It is understood that the former President, who visited a house near Colombo last week, poured milk there for good luck.
Sources further indicate that the former President, who had temporarily stepped back from political activities after moving to the Tangalle Mansion, is now preparing to resume his political engagements with his return to Colombo.
