President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has summoned all Members of Parliament representing the disaster-affected districts to a special meeting at Parliament at 9.30 a.m. today (27). Sri Lanka Latest News
This was announced by the Leader of the House, Minister Bimal Ratnayake, in response to a question raised by the Opposition Chief Organizer, MP Gayantha Karunathilaka, regarding the government’s actions to address the prevailing disaster situation in the country.
Minister Ratnayake further stated that the Minister of Public Security, along with the ministers of the relevant departments, is scheduled to travel to the Kandy and Nuwara Eliya areas by this afternoon.
