The inaugural budget of the Tangalle Municipal Council, which is administered by the National People’s Party, has been defeated, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
A total of 9 votes were cast in favour of the budget, while 10 votes were cast against it.
Accordingly, the opposition has secured victory over the Tangalle Municipal Council budget with a majority of votes.
