The Samagi Jana Balawegaya-led opposition has secured victory in the by-election held for the Walapane Cooperative Provincial Assembly, Sri Lanka Latest News reports.
According to the results, the Samagi Jana Balawegaya won five seats, while the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (Pohottuwa) secured two seats.
Meanwhile, the Malima party failed to win a single seat.
