Tech dreams have become a lot easier to afford thanks to a new partnership between Gnext Store, an Apple Authorized Reseller, and the Commercial Bank of Ceylon, initiated by the Bank to make it affordable for customers to own the latest Apple devices.

Aspirants to the latest iPhones, MacBooks, iPads and Apple Watch can now walk away with their dream technology fully financed at 0% interest over 18 months, courtesy of Sri Lanka’s leading private sector bank and Gnext Store.

This strategic tie-up enables customers to obtain personal loans from Commercial Bank to cover 100% of the cost of Apple devices, without any down payment, and repay in equal monthly instalments over a period of up to 18 months – completely interest-free. The loan approval process has been streamlined to ensure a fast and hassle-free experience, the Bank said.

As part of this initiative, Gnext Store is also offering a complimentary pair of AirPods to the first 100 customers who purchase their iPhones through this loan scheme—adding even more value to an already compelling offer.

Enhancing the attraction of the offer, Gnext Store will deliver the devices directly to customers’ doorsteps and back the purchase with its exclusive ‘Shield Pro’ protection plan, available only for the iPhone 16 series. Buyers of iPhone 16 series will receive two screen replacements, two back cover replacements, and a warranty extended by an additional year, ensuring comprehensive aftersales protection for a total of two years.

The partnership reflects Commercial Bank’s strategy of aligning with premium global brands to offer innovative financial solutions to high-end consumers. It also marks a new benchmark in device financing in Sri Lanka, allowing more customers to enjoy the performance, design and reliability of Apple products with zero financial pressure upfront, the Bank said.

The partnership combines the financial strength and reach of Commercial Bank with the product quality and reliability of the Apple brand, positioning the Bank as a go-to choice for affordable premium tech financing.

With a presence in Sri Lanka for over seven years, Gnext Store is an established Apple Authorised Reseller that has played a pioneering role in introducing genuine Apple products into the local market. Gnext Store ensures all products are backed by Apple-authorised warranties and service options, offering customers peace of mind and a trusted retail experience.

The store operates two prime retail outlets in Bambalapitiya and Thimbirigasyaya, each featuring an Apple Experience Zone where customers can explore and interact with the full Apple ecosystem before purchasing. In addition to physical stores, Gnext Store’s online platform: www.gnextstore.lk offers convenient island-wide shopping. While Gnext Store has long supported customers with flexible credit card plans and affordability programs, this exclusive personal loan scheme in partnership with Commercial Bank marks a significant first in the market. It reflects Gnext Store’s commitment to making premium technology more accessible, with a customer-first approach unmatched by any other retailer, the company said.

Commercial Bank is the first Sri Lankan bank to be listed among the Top 1000 Banks of the World and has the highest market capitalisation in the Banking Sector in the Colombo Stock Exchange (CSE). The Bank is the largest lender to the SME sector. The Bank is also a leader in digital innovation and is Sri Lanka’s first 100% carbon-neutral bank.

Commercial Bank operates a strategically located network of branches and automated machines island-wide, and has the widest international footprint among Sri Lankan banks, with 20 outlets in Bangladesh, a fully-fledged Tier I Bank with a majority stake in the Maldives, and a Microfinance company in Myanmar. The Bank recently opened a representative office within the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), taking a significant step towards broadening its global footprint. The Bank’s fully-owned subsidiary CBC Finance Ltd., also delivers a range of financial services via its own branch network.
