His Eminence Cardinal Malcolm Ranjith has alleged that certain groups, in collaboration with foreign organizations, are working to promote homosexuality in Sri Lanka.
He further stated that some political parties and political leaders are also involved in these activities.
The Cardinal made these remarks while attending the ceremony held in Colombo yesterday (14) to confer the honorary title of Aggamaha Pandita—bestowed by the Government of Myanmar—on the Vice Chancellor of the University of Ruhuna, Dharma Keerthi Sri Acharya Akuretiye Nanda Nayaka Thero.
