The government has granted approval for the cabinet paper related to the Kerawalapitiya Sahas Danavi Power Plant, with diesel priced at Rs. 110 per liter and the US dollar valued at Rs. 180, according to MP S.M. Marikkar.
He noted that the proposal, originally drafted during the tenure of former President Gotabaya Rajapaksa, has now been approved. The document states that under these conditions, electricity can be generated at a cost of Rs. 20 per unit.
