Former Minister Duminda Dissanayake, who had been remanded in custody, has been granted bail under stringent conditions.
Dissanayake was arrested on May 23 in connection with an investigation into the possession of a gold-plated T-56 firearm discovered in a luxury housing complex at Havelock City.
Following his appearance in court today (26), Colombo Chief High Court Judge Manjula Thilakaratne ordered his release on a cash bail of Rs. 250,000, along with two surety bonds of Rs. 5 million each.
