Harsha Ilukpitiya, the Controller of Immigration and Emigration, has unconditionally pleaded guilty before the Supreme Court to charges of contempt of court. The charges stem from his failure to comply with a court order concerning the implementation of the e-visa issuance process.
The Supreme Court announced that sentencing will take place on the 24th of this month.
