The Inland Revenue Department is reportedly taking measures to seize the assets of five directors associated with companies that have defaulted on Value Added Tax (VAT) payments totaling Rs. 4.3 billion, according to Sri Lanka Latest News.
Among the individuals under scrutiny is Arjun Aloysius, a director of W. Mendis.
It is reported that the Inland Revenue Department has already commenced investigations into the assets owned by these directors in an effort to recover the outstanding tax liabilities.
