In the early hours of today (13), Israel launched a series of massive airstrikes on Iran, triggering a significant spike in global crude oil prices.
According to foreign media reports, the price of crude oil surged by 9% today, marking the highest increase recorded in the past five months.
As a result, the price of Brent crude oil rose by US$ 6.29, reaching a new value of US$ 75.65 per barrel.
The last highest price was recorded on January 27, when a barrel of crude oil reached US$ 78.50.
Foreign media also report that the escalating tensions and unrest in the region are severely impacting global trade.
