President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, who is currently on an official visit to the Federal Republic of Germany, was warmly received today (11) by German President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.
Upon his arrival at Bellevue Palace in Berlin, President Dissanayake was honored with a military salute by the German Armed Forces. He also took part in the official Tri-Army Parade as part of the ceremonial welcome.
Following the formal reception, President Dissanayake and President Steinmeier engaged in bilateral discussions. The talks focused on enhancing economic and international cooperation between Sri Lanka and Germany, with particular emphasis on expanding collaboration in the areas of vocational training and tourism.
