A shooting incident took place a short while ago in the Meetiyagoda area, according to police reports.
The incident occurred at a restaurant located in the Tambahitiya area of Meetiyagoda. One individual has been confirmed dead, while another has been seriously injured and admitted to the Balapitiya Base Hospital for treatment.
Police stated that the shooting was carried out by two individuals who arrived at the scene on a motorcycle.
The Meetiyagoda Police have launched further investigations into the incident.
