Former Minister Udaya Gammanpila stated that the government’s vote share in the upcoming local government elections is expected to drop below the 42% secured in the last presidential election. He further predicted that the opposition would gain control of the vast majority of local government institutions.
Mr. Gammanpila made these remarks while participating in the Rathu Ira political program.
