A special meeting between a delegation of United Nations representatives and Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa took place today at the Opposition Leader’s Office in Parliament.
UN Country Coordinator Marc-André Franche and Peace and Development Advisor Patrick McCarthy participated in the discussion.
During the meeting, both parties exchanged views on various socio-economic and political issues affecting Sri Lanka. Opposition Leader Sajith Premadasa urged the UN representatives to extend the necessary support to assist the country in overcoming its current state of bankruptcy.
