Ahimsa Wickrematunga, daughter of Lasantha Wickramatunga, has formally appealed to Prime Minister Harini Amarasuriya, requesting an impeachment motion against Attorney General Parinda Ranasinghe. Her appeal comes in response to Ranasinghe’s directive to the Criminal Investigation Department (CID), stating that no legal action would be taken against the three suspects in the murder of Sunday Leader journalist Lasantha Wickrematunga, ultimately leading to their release.
