The Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP) is set to commence its “Village to Village with Namal” program tomorrow (02), marking the beginning of an extensive grassroots initiative.
According to SLPP General Secretary, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam, the program will be inaugurated with religious observances near the Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in Anuradhapura tomorrow morning, followed by a religious ceremony.
The first event under this initiative is scheduled to take place in Nochchiyagama at 2:00 PM. The program aims to inform the public about the current political landscape, the future plans of the SLPP, and the government’s repressive measures.
Parliamentarian Namal Rajapaksa will actively participate in the program, which seeks to reach 14,000 villages, including those in the Northern and Eastern provinces.
As part of the initiative, SLPP also plans to visit each selected constituency ahead of the provincial elections and engage with key party activists.
