SJB Member of Parliament Mr. Hesha Withanage said that nearly 100 crores or one billion rupees will be spent per month to maintain the 37 state ministers appointed by the government yesterday.
Joining a television program, he pointed out that despite saying that he does not take the minister’s salary, the maintenance of these state ministers costs nearly 25 lakhs per person.
Mr. Withanage said that doing something like this is absolutely unacceptable at this moment when the country is facing a serious economic crisis.
