The expenses incurred for the tea parties held on the opening days of the ninth and tenth parliaments have recently been disclosed.
According to the revealed figures, the tea party hosted during the inauguration of the ninth parliament under Mr. Gotabaya Rajapaksa cost Rs. 287,340.
In comparison, the tea party organized for the opening of the tenth parliament under Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake amounted to Rs. 339,628.
