President Anura Kumara Dissanayake held discussions today (4th) with Members of Parliament from the Illankai Tamil Arasu Kadchi (ITAK) at the Presidential Secretariat.
During the meeting, the ITAK representatives highlighted the persistent challenges faced by the communities in the Northern and Eastern provinces, emphasizing the need for urgent solutions to these long-standing issues.
The delegation included Parliamentarians Sivagnanam Shritharan, Pathmanathan Sathiyalingam, Shanmugam Kugathasan, Shanakiyan Rasamanickam, Gnanamuthu Srineshan, Kaveenthiran Kodeeswaran, Elayathamby Srinath, and Thurairasa Raviharan.
The discussion marked a step forward in addressing regional concerns through constructive dialogue.
