Minister Vijitha Herath recently conducted an inspection tour of Katunayake Airport in response to complaints regarding delays in SriLankan Airlines flights.
During his visit, the Minister toured all sections of the airport, engaging in a cordial dialogue with employees from various departments to gain a comprehensive understanding of the issues.
Minister Herath announced plans to establish a dedicated unit at the airport, which will operate around the clock to provide passengers with timely information on flight delays and ensure maximum support and facilities during waiting periods.
He also directed the relevant authorities to implement measures aimed at minimizing these delays.
